Biobased Products & USDA Seal
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is responsible for providing leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and other matters. They have inspection seals, organic ones and also a biobased seal, which was granted to YVY's products. What does it mean? In a very short explanation it confirms that our cleaners are made with renewable materials, in our case, plants. That is a great thing because it shows how committed to a better future our company really is. Come learn more about biobased products and how YVY works to keep our goals of cleaning your home in the cleanest way possible.
What is a biobased product?
In sum, a biobased product is made of renewable materials, in whole or in significant part, besides plants, which is YVY's main source, these materials can also be agricultural, marine, and forestry products, and like in our case, we replace fossil-based ingredients with biobased ingredients such as natural colorants and citric terpenes, which are used to improve cleaning results.
There are many other materials used in a biobased cleaner and you can check them here.
To help customers make an informed decision, the USDA created a seal seen in the picture below that comes with the percentage of biobased material used to manufacture the product and its package. In order to receive the seal, the product must be tested by a third party institution so no biased choice is made, ensuring that the product is truthful to its claims.
YVY is proud to have the USDA Biobased seal for all our products, because that proves our commitment to the hard work that taking care of our planet really is. It also gives another reason to be proud, since we can offer our customers green solutions to the everyday needs, while spreading awareness to the environment's situation and giving a chance to more people to do good and make better choices.
